About Us

The Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins du Jura (CIVJ) is a non-profit body with four staff. It represents all the producers, cooperatives and négociants in the Jura’s six Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) areas.

The CIVJ has 210 members, 28 of whom are elected to play an active role. It organises relations between all of its members, and harmonises trade practices.

The CIVJ’s mission is to promote the identity and recognition of Jura wines in France and worldwide, using communication tools and campaigns. It runs the wine-tourism sector with the Jura wine trade’s other stakeholders, primarily through the Vignobles & Découvertes label. It centralises statistical and economic data, and helps implement rules to organise the market. The CIVJ also conducts technical operations.
